Hi! My Name is Stacie. I like to doodle. And eat Nutella. Usually at the same time.
I have lived in Springdale, Arkansas with my husband, Nathan, our daughter, Violet, and ridiculous dogs named Wallace and Schroeder, since 2008, but hail from the Mighty Springfield, Missouri, and still think of it as home.
When I was 17, I embarked upon a promising career at Starbucks, slinging drinks to the masses with a smile plastered on my face. I worked my way up in the company, & along the way got married, got an Art degree, and had a baby, all while putting my husband through graduate school. I was busy, and tired, to say the least. One day, after having not seen my husband or daughter in days because I had regularly been working 12 hour shifts at my store, I decided my life needed a change.
Today, I work a fantastic day job (at a local university), have a part-time business, Gingiber, spend tons of time with my little family, and write on this little blog, GingiberSnap. I am expecting Bloomfield Baby #2 in late November! So very blessed!
What is Gingiber?
Gingiber is my online shop, where I create darling doodles for quirky kids (although I find that many adults enjoy my art as well). My work has been described as whimsical and expressive, but I like to think of it as having a touch of "POW" and a splash of "ZIPPA-D-DOO". By the way, Gingiber is the Latin word for "ginger". I just liked the sound of it.
