A Study of Bears

Bears. I don't know why but I cannot stop drawing them. Perhaps because I call the little one "Lucy Bear". Perhaps because bears are just so dang cuddly.

Here's a little preview of some bear doodles I have done today. Thinking that the 2013 calendar might be all about bears.

Also, I always do a 4x6 desk calendar, but thinking of also offering a larger calendar! What say you to that idea?

What animals/things/objects would you like to see in the Gingiber Shop this year?

Gingibersnap Reborn

GingiberSnap has been reborn! Or rather, redesigned. And I love it! I did this on an accidental whim yesterday, as I was trying to fix something in the layout and POOF! I deleted my entire template!

But, I am in love with this color scheme. I took my inspiration from my most recent Confetti Cat Illustration. It feels bright and grounded. Clean and fresh. And I think that it is rather easy to navigate.

I really would love to get back into blogging more regularly. Blogging, however, not as important to me as it used to be. I am really focusing on growing my business, learning to be a more attentive mother, and trying to take better care of myself.

However, I feel the NEED to blog because I love this new layout so much! What do you think of the new layout?

Thanks for sticking around!

Cats on the Brain

So cats..... I think they are beautiful creatures. But, my family is allergic to them. So, I can only admire them from afar.

I get lots of requests for cat illustrations, so I got to drawing! I've added 3 new cat illustrations to the shop! Filled with bright neon colors.

Available for purchase in the good old Gingiber Etsy Shop.

I hope that you like them! I really really had fun with these, and am working on more cats. Cats on the brain, really.

Have a lovely Friday,

Gingiber Interview on Lottie Loves

Today I am thrilled to be interviewed on one of my favorite blogs, Lottie Loves.

Lottie Loves is a blog with daily doses of eye candy, lovingly curated by Charlotte Rivers. I seriously have discovered many new favorite artists through this blog. It is a nice read.

Thanks so much and I hope you get a chance to read the interview,
